My love for dogs goes way back. As a kid, I dreamt of having a furry friend, sneaking leashes into my pocket just in case I found a stray to bring home. While my parents kept me stocked with cats, rabbits, and other furry companions, my heart always belonged to dogs.

That passion blossomed into a career. Since 1996, I've been a professional dog trainer, helping dogs (and their humans) live happier, more fulfilling lives. I'm also a Certified Dog Behavior Consultant and Accredited Mediator, which means I've seen and helped resolve just about every dog behavior challenge you can imagine.

For over two decades, I've worked with thousands of dogs and their families. I've learned that changing a dog's behavior requires understanding both the dog and the people.

My personal journey has been just as interesting. After years of building a successful dog training business, I found myself navigating the complexities of divorce – twice! Being a single mom before the age of 30 was challenging, but it taught me invaluable lessons about resilience and empathy.

Over time, I noticed a disturbing trend. Many of my clients were struggling with their dogs' behavioral issues, which stemmed from the emotional upheaval of divorce and often, unfair custody arrangements. This sparked a passion for advocating for dogs' well-being during separation.

Seeing this need, I created the first pet custody course for divorce professionals, educating lawyers, mediators, and judges about the impact of custody plans on dogs. This phase of my working life is the culmination of my years of experience, helping both people and dogs navigate the often-turbulent waters of divorce.

Sharing my knowledge and insights is a joy and a privilege.  Whether you're a pet owner facing divorce or a professional working with separating families, I look forward to giving practical guidance and a compassionate approach to ensuring your dog's well-being throughout this challenging time.
